I swear by Apollo the Physician and Asclepius and Hygieia and Panaceia and all the gods, and goddesses, making them my witnesses, that I will fulfill according to my ability and judgment this oath and this covenant:
醫(yī)神阿波羅、埃斯克雷彼斯及天地 諸神作證，我--希波克拉底發(fā)誓：我愿以自身判斷力所及，遵守這一誓約。
To hold him who has taught me this art as equal to my parents and to live my life in partnership with him, and if he is in need of money to give him a share of mine，and to regard his offspring as equal to my brothers in male lineage and to teach them this art - if they desire to learn it - without fee and covenant; to give a share of precepts and oral instruction and all the other learning to my sons and to the sons of him who has instructed me and to pupils who have signed the covenant and have taken the oath according to medical law, but to no one else.
凡教給我醫(yī)術(shù)的人，我應(yīng)像尊敬自己的父母一樣，尊敬他。作為終身尊重的對(duì)象及朋友，授給我醫(yī)術(shù)的恩師一旦發(fā)生危急情況，我一定接濟(jì)他。把恩師 的兒女當(dāng)成我希波克拉底的兄弟姐妹；如果恩師的兒女愿意從醫(yī)，我一定無(wú)條件地傳授，更不收取任何費(fèi)用。對(duì)于我所擁有的醫(yī)術(shù)，無(wú)論是能以口頭表達(dá)的 還是可書(shū)寫(xiě)的，都要傳授給我的兒女， 傳授給恩師的兒女和發(fā)誓遵守本誓言的學(xué)生；除此3種情況外，不再傳給別人。
I will prescribe regimens for the good of my patients according to my ability and my judgment and never do harm to anyone.
我愿在我的判斷力所及的范圍內(nèi)， 盡我的能力，遵守為病人謀利益的道德原則，并杜絕一切害人的行為。
I will not give a lethal drug to anyone if I am asked，nor will I advise such a plan; and similarly I will not give a woman a pessary to cause an abortion. But I will preserve the purity of my life and my arts.
我不得將有害的藥品給予他人，也不指導(dǎo)他人服用有害藥品，更不答應(yīng)他人使用有害藥物的請(qǐng)求。同樣不給婦 女施行墮胎手術(shù)。我志愿以純潔與神 圣的精神終身行醫(yī)。
I will not cut for stone, even for patients in whom the disease is manifest； I will leave this operation to be performed by practitioners，specialists in this art.
因我沒(méi)有治療結(jié)石病的專(zhuān)長(zhǎng)，不宜承擔(dān)此項(xiàng)手術(shù)。有需要治療的，我就將他（她）介紹給治療結(jié)石的專(zhuān)家。
In every house where I come I will enter only for the good of my patients, keeping myself far from all intentional ill-doing and all seduction and especially from the pleasures of love with women or with men, be they free or slaves.
無(wú)論到了什么地方，也無(wú)論需診治 的病人是男是女、是自由民是奴婢，我一視同仁，為他們謀幸福是我唯一的目的。我要檢點(diǎn)自己的行為舉止，不做各 種害人的劣行，尤其不做誘奸女病人或 病人眷屬的缺德事。
All that may come to my knowledge in the exercise of my profession or in daily commerce with men, which ought not to be spread abroad, I will keep secret and will never reveal.
在治病過(guò)程中，凡我所見(jiàn)所聞，不 論與行醫(yī)業(yè)務(wù)有否直接關(guān)系，凡我認(rèn)為要保密的事項(xiàng)堅(jiān)決不予泄露If I keep this oath faithfully, may I enjoy my life and practice my art, respected by all men and in all times; but if I swerve from it or violate it, may the reverse be my lot.
我遵守以上誓言，愿讓醫(yī)神阿波羅、埃斯克雷彼斯及天地諸神賜給我生命與醫(yī)術(shù)上的無(wú)上光榮；一旦我違背了自己的誓言，請(qǐng)求天地諸神給我最嚴(yán)厲的懲罰！
